What it is
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is performed inside a pressurized chamber while you breathe concentrated oxygen. The increased pressure allows more oxygen to dissolve into your blood and tissues than you would take in at normal room pressure.

What to expect
Each session is 60 minutes at 1.5 ATA. You sit or lie down and breathe normally — most people read or rest. Your ears may feel pressure as the chamber pressurizes, similar to a plane taking off. Your Ashara naturopathic doctor sets the protocol and the number of sessions based on your evaluation.
